For Sale.

For Sale: The commercial building that my Community Pottery Studio inhabits. A prospective buyer intends to hike the rent 24%.  I don't want to pay that!  My young business is just breaking even this year. So... Change is in the air.

Sketch Tactic: To encourage sale, the prospective buyer was told the rent is higher than it really is!  I am appalled by routine dishonesty.  Lying breaks the spoken word, turning conversation into "sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Many times my life has experienced evolution or revolution;
afterward, I regret the change passes undocumented.
This time, change is in the air!
This time, I blog.

News that the building is for sale was passed on by awesome studio caretaker Alex Swartz, who carefully tended the studio for several weeks during my vacation -- a holiday that magically grew to five weeks' duration in 2017.

This extraordinarily long retreat from workaday worries began with two weeks of living in the Current Middle Ages, my usual summer retreat.  The advent of a Total Eclipse Of The Sun added three weeks of driving through national parks and monuments, in pursuit of arches, bears, bighorn sheep, canyons, daytime darkness, elks, geysers, glaciers, and hoodoos.  A summer fantasy vacation!

A relaxing retreat from commercial concerns, snug with confidence that my creative business is on its feet and covering expenses! In fact, doing well enough to hire help in my absence!  During the vacation the business prospects continued to grow.  I was interviewed for an October article in North State Parent magazine, and we gained two new members.  Everything is going well in Wendy's World, and I am confident of a good outcome for the pottery studio subsequent to the sale of the building.
